Aluminium Fabrication and Welding
Hollow tube and solid components. Experience in using all plant equipment in the factory is imperative to ensure fast, quality fabrication and welding. If you are not familiar with any tool or equipment you ask for help or training to gain the knowledge required to use safely and efficiently. Projects will vary from small to medium structures where self-management is required, but it is expected that any uncertainty that may arise is immediately clarified by checking with foreman. At times, you will be working as a team member on bigger projects where you will be required to get a reasonable understanding of the whole project as well as a very clear understanding of your part in that project.

Stainless Fabrication and Welding
Hollow tube and solid components, welded using MIG and TIG. A sound knowledge of surface preparation, thermal movement and finishing is required.

Installation and Site Work
On occasion you will be responsible for assisting with project installation and site work. This will require a proactive approach to site safety and coordination to ensure each job is carried out in a professional way that is satisfactory to the customer – Efficient and good quality.

Meeting Targets
Every job that you do needs to be thought through carefully and an efficient build sequence planned. This needs to be documented with target times for each step of that build sequence. These times need to align with the target labour allocation specified at the job pre-construction meeting. Every job needs to be on time, so if you identify any problems or concerns that may make that difficult, you must inform the foreman as soon as possible.

Liaise with Foreman, Designers and Management
Your input will be required at times before, during and after job completion. This will usually be in the form of pre-con, breakout and post-con meetings.

Understand and build to the required quality
It is important to get a clear picture of what is required with regards to the quality of finish on each job. Structural integrity should never be compromised, but some jobs only require a lower grade finish, and some do require a very high-end finish and attention to detail.

Cooperation and Teamwork
Manson is a small business, with a small number of team members. Every action that you take does have a huge effect (good or bad) on everyone else who works here. It is important that you show respect to others and be prepared to do a bit extra at times to help out each other and get the job done.

Show a willingness to learn and upskill
Showing an interest in learning new skills and techniques is important to demonstrate that you do care about your work and are looking for ways to improve both individually and Manson as a whole.
Any mistakes that are made should not be hidden, but instead identified quickly and a solution to prevent from happening again discussed.
Being proactive in identifying areas where you think that you could improve and taking on board constructive criticism by others is a great way to upskill quickly.

Monitor Areas
You will be responsible for two or three areas to monitor and check daily and raise any concerns about those monitor areas with your foreman.
