Sara’s winning time at the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club Annual Regatta
If you phone us at Manson Engineering, you’ll get Sara. Sara is not only a key team member making sure we operate smoothly and efficiently by running the Office and Production, she knows a thing or two about the marine environment!
Sara, with her husband and 3 boys sailed from France to New Zealand so has walked up and down a plethora of marina’s and gangways, over ramps and through gates! She is a mad keen sailor and is a current National Women’s keelboat champion, and has represented New Zealand on numerous occasions!
Recently Sara and husband Josh travelled to Wellington to compete in the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club Annual Regatta.
They were sailing on Nedax Racing, which is a Thompson 30 with both spinnakers and gennakers plus a brand new ‘almost see through’ Number 1 jib (which took up most of the room in Sara’s gear bag on the flight down to Wellington). Wellington turned on champagne sailing conditions which slowly built over the fantastic 3 day event.
Sara and Josh sailed 4 races on Friday, 4 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday finishing as Division A Champions. General Handicap onboard ‘Nedax Racing’ with skipper Tony Phillips.
Well done Team!! It was a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and some amazing sailing and they are looking forward to returning next year.
