Auckland Ferry Terminal Gangways – New Zealand’s largest by far
Manson is right in the middle of a project that must be as large as any we’ve undertaken. In fact, much like an International Rugby front row, it’s not only big… but there’s three of them! Just next to where The Cloud is now on Auckland’s Queen’s Wharf, Auckland Transport are building an extensive ferry complex to “future-proof” the facility and open up more of the harbour to pedestrians. Each gangway we’ll be building for this terminal is approximately 33 meters long by 6 meters wide, so we’re talking massive weight and load capacity. Each will be several thousand hours work, and we’ve been forced to look offshore for several key components. Watch this space, because these gangways will be seriously impressive once finished!
